An Inordinate Fondness, administered by Ted C. MacRae (author of Beetles In The Bush), is a monthly blog celebrating beetles. According to this site, it ” highlights the best that the blogosphere has to offer on this fascinating group of animals.” Why are beetles so significant? They make up nearly half of all insects, and one quarter of all described living species.
I was quite pleased to be asked to contribute a firefly image to the April, 2009 edition of An Inordinate Fondness. Obviously I need to post something beetleish with this announcement!
