Exoskeletons of the first three tarantulas to begin the second round of molting. Rightmost specimen is the curlyhair tarantula that emerged from the smallest exoskeleton three days earlier. Click image to enlarge.
It appears that the apparent synchronized molting of eight tarantulas in early March, 8 molts in 17 days, may repeat itself.
On Sunday, June 10 the smaller of the redknee tarantula juvenile siblings (Brachpelma smithi) molted. On Thursday, June 14 the larger juvenile molted.
At the point that it righted itself, I noticed the Honduran curlyhair tarantula (Brachypelma albopilosum) spiderling, pictured to the right above and in random places in the picture below, had fully molted.

Love the term moltfest. Love the little guy doing his own thing. Love being able to enjoy your tarantulas from afar. Thank you.
Thanks, Lynne. I’m enjoying the Australian spiders just as much!
