I just received word that I have received funds to attend the 2010 Invertebrates in Education and Conservation Conference in Rio Rico, AZ. It promises to be a great learning experience and a lot of fun!
Papers presented in the morning deal with topics including conservation, communication with the public, and captive breeding. Afternoons and evenings are spent in the field focusing on various communities and methodologies. Art Evans is the keynote speaker. There should be lots of opportunities to see (and photograph) a whole world of organisms I would never encounter otherwise. This should be a blast!
