We just completed Agora Days, a four day period during which teachers, students, parents and University faculty teach mini-courses covering a variety of different topics. This year I was involved in an ornithology class, a humane society volunteering class, a butterfly biology class, a class dealing with bogus science, and a scanning electron microscopy class.
A sampling of electron micrographs taken by students are shown in this blog entry.
We enjoyed the week so much that the kids and I will be going back to the Mechanical Engineering Lab to do more today. Gotta love those activities that bring the kids in on weekends!
