Last week I took a four day trip to Orlando, Florida for the National Writing Project Annual Meeting. The schedule was packed each day, allowing me about 45 minutes of arthropod photography during the entire trip.
An immediate difference between my native central Illinois and Florida was that the insects were MUCH more difficult to photograph, alighting for a moment and flying off immediately. It was cooler than it normally is when I photograph, so temperature shouldn’t be the cause.
